I have always been attracted to beautiful papers and to threads and yarns, their textures and colours speak to me. My creative pursuits over the years have led me to creating embroidered designs on greeting cards, and more recently framed needle arts on paper. Creating paper crazy quilts is my latest pursuit, an endeavour based on the Victorian fabric crazy quilts which were so popular in the late 1800s.

Growing up I was always into some kind of crafts, a pursuit encouraged by my artistic mother. As an adult I explored painting, mostly acrylics, pottery, drawing, and coloured pencil. I have exhibited at various locations around Ottawa over the years, and have several works in private collections.

Being creative, for me, has always been a therapeutic endeavour. I create in times of stress, I create for the pure joy of it. It has become a part of my day, and I notice when I have periods that I do not take time to be creative.
